Even during this time of the Halloween season no one is truly immortal to the wicked ways of sickness. Even Dracula has his allergies to garlic! But how often do you reach for the medication or aspirin for help?
I am personally more of a believer of natural remedies; that doesn't mean I don't take medication for help but I keep my eyes open for homely remedies that are natural and good for my body that will help in more than one healthy way.
Many people question: do they even work? Say that, for some outstanding reason, healthy herbs, teas, food, veggies, didn't work and its all in our heads - but that's the thing - its been built in our heads. When someone sees another making, what looks like a healthy meal with good tea of organic substances,a chemical in their head called Serotonin (which is the happy chemical), is released. They see someone caring for them in a natural way that will benefit the one that is sick. That chemical alone will help in the process of healing.
But we all know herbs, teas, veggies and all that is healthy and organic really does work if used properly. So here is a little remedy that I give my bae when he's not feeling so good. The tea I give him helps with: nausea, stomach pains, stuffy noises, sore throats and will even clean your system! Along with this process I will present you little facts about each ingredient that points to more than one spectacular reason they are healthy for you!
Ingredients:
- Enough water to fill a mug (8 oz./ 1 cup)
- 1 Organic Roasted Dandelion Root tea bag
- 1-2 drops of honey
-1 pinch of cinnamon

STEPS
Step 1: Boil water
Begin by taking your cup of water (or the amount you choose; I usually take the amount to fill the mug) and boil the water on high. When the tea pot starts whistling its time to turn the burner off and remove the pot from the hot stove.
For the Halloween Spirit I chose a Halloween-y mug. Besides I do kind of feel like a witch when I cook, bake and make home remedies!

Step 2:
Take the Organic Roasted Dandelion Root tea bag and place it in your mug. Pour in the hot water but before not to burn yourself!
Fact: Dandelion relieves liver disorders, diabetes, urinary disorders, acne, jaundice, cancer and anemia. It also supports bone health and is rich in calcium, manganese, iron, potassium, vitamins K, A, C, and E!

Step 3:
Add a pinch of cinnamon. I usually add a sprinkle on top and only add more if its requested because some people don't like the taste or smell of it. So I had sprinkle just for the benefits but not enough for them to really notice its within the drink. (I used just ground cinnamon)
Facts: Cinnamon is a wonder that has been used even by the Ancient Egyptians: it helps combat from small to large harmful illness such as muscle spasms, vomiting, diarrhea, infections, the common cold, loss of appetite, erectile dysfunction, fungal infections, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, HIV, and multiple sclerosis.

Step 4:
A drop or two of honey. (I used Naked Wild Honey) This will help sweeten the concoction plus honey has just as many health benefits, if not more, than the last two ingredients!
Facts: Honey is, you can say, a miracle worker of many aspects: it alleviates allergies, its an all natural energy drink, it boosts memory, its a cough suppressant, it can help with sleep, treats dandruff and even helps treat wounds and burns!

Step 5:
As for the last step you need no ingredients for, simply stir and squeeze the tea packet to get the last of its nutrients. Wait a few minutes before serving the tea to let it cool and soon your bae will be good as new!
