Just the word itself can make a tinge of pain go down your spine.
It hurts, burns, tears off tiny little hairs from your body and can leave itchy aching red marks
in its wake. It's not really a pleasure unless you're into that sort of thing. Honestly - in my own opinion- it takes longer than shaving and I'd rather get the five to ten minute shave out of the way, do it again in the next few days, other than having my body go through any more type of pain than other womanly ordeals it goes through.
I love trying and testing new and old things so when I found this "Wonder Wax" and read its list of possibilities I had to test this.
Wonder Wax you can purchase at your local Walmart Store or online. It was relatively cheap and in the clearance section so in all bits of truth I have no idea how much it really costs and I really didn't bother looking it up to find out. At the store and on clearance it costed exactly $5.00. On the box itself it claims that its quick and painless.
If you want to see how it works and if it does as it says please wax the video below. Be warned, I do curse a little at the end. This is from both a girls and boys testing.
A keratin treatment recodes your hair in order to smooth it
out, decrease frizz and straighten your hair depending on the physical
treatment you get
Keratin,
within itself, is a protein that is naturally already in your hair but in order
for it to respond; a stylist (hopefully a professional one) applies the keratin
product onto your hair and then uses the heat of a blow dryer and flat iron to
seal the product and its chemicals in.
The
process can depend on the person, the thickness and length, of their hair but
usually takes the minimum of 90 minutes and can go as long as 3-4 hours. (Mine
took 3). This can also determine the cost of process since they may need to use
more or less amount of the product.
Pros:
-Time Saving Blow out: Your Blow
dry time will be shorten tremendously, a good 40% – 60% I read statistically.
-No more Frizz! Or so they say,
we’ll take this challenge here in Florida.
-Smoother and straighter hair, need
I say more?
Up Keep:
-Try to hold off showering for at
least the recommended days by your stylist, I was told two days, websites say
3-4. I might have to take that in mind next time I go since my hair is still
not fully at its keratin peak.
- Try to use sodium-sulfate- free
shampoo and conditioner, sometimes the stylist will recommend a brand best for
it. My Keratin treatment has a specific brand called Kerastraight.
How long does it last?
That also depends on the treatment,
some last for a couple of months and others can last for four.
Cons:
-Keratin itself won’t cause your
hair to break, however, the flat iron might or will so be careful when using.
-Split ends are notorious with this
treatment and after a certain point within the treatment you should get a very
small trim to stop them in their tracks.
-The main health concern isn’t the
keratin but the formaldehyde within the keratin products, but it also varies
the treatment.
-If you have sensitive hair or
scalp it may cause minor irritation or slight hair loss but I haven’t
personally met a person with this problem. It may cause burning or itchiness
but usually the stylist will keep tabs with you.
Out of the many products you can buy, which will work and which should you try? Some people will just try them for you whether it will burn their face, cause them severe reactions or actually be pleasantly surprised. In this video I have/will be trying products just for you and reviewing their aftermath so you don't have too!
We run out of products all the time, bottles can be reused but what about the memory of the product itself. We use it, abuse it and just forget or purchase again. In this video I talk about my products that are empty or close to being empty and how they effected me and whether or not I will purchase them again for their amazing (or not so) work.
You walk into Sephora with one thought on your mind; how you desperately need a product for a particular problem you are having but out of all the brands in this large store, what can be trusted? Who better knows than the associates, so you walk to the first person in black garb you see, they turn to you and you notice right then and there that their makeup is worse than your own!
You don't freight it, you just think that maybe they had a bad makeup day. Everyone has those, right? You shrug it off and ask for the best product to hide your problem and they are quick to answer which helps lighten their not very good makeup job. They lead you to the product, you purchase it, try it out and at a miserable disappointment it didn't work!
This has happened to me on a number of occasions. I could make an entire blog just on disappointments associates or other 'professionals,' have told me and had been wrong. In all honestly it could have been the wrong product for me but I did explain my issues in detail and they could have guided me to a better usage. Well here is the haul and item I was talking about.
