First Impression/ Review| Keratin Treatment

Keratin Treatment

I am no expert or stylist!

Keratin Treatment

A keratin treatment recodes your hair in order to smooth it out, decrease frizz and straighten your hair depending on the physical treatment you get
Keratin, within itself, is a protein that is naturally already in your hair but in order for it to respond; a stylist (hopefully a professional one) applies the keratin product onto your hair and then uses the heat of a blow dryer and flat iron to seal the product and its chemicals in.
The process can depend on the person, the thickness and length, of their hair but usually takes the minimum of 90 minutes and can go as long as 3-4 hours. (Mine took 3). This can also determine the cost of process since they may need to use more or less amount of the product.

                Pros:
-Time Saving Blow out: Your Blow dry time will be shorten tremendously, a good 40% – 60% I read statistically.
-No more Frizz! Or so they say, we’ll take this challenge here in Florida.
-Smoother and straighter hair, need I say more?
Up Keep:
-Try to hold off showering for at least the recommended days by your stylist, I was told two days, websites say 3-4. I might have to take that in mind next time I go since my hair is still not fully at its keratin peak.
- Try to use sodium-sulfate- free shampoo and conditioner, sometimes the stylist will recommend a brand best for it. My Keratin treatment has a specific brand called Kerastraight.
How long does it last?
That also depends on the treatment, some last for a couple of months and others can last for four.
Cons:
-Keratin itself won’t cause your hair to break, however, the flat iron might or will so be careful when using.
-Split ends are notorious with this treatment and after a certain point within the treatment you should get a very small trim to stop them in their tracks.
-The main health concern isn’t the keratin but the formaldehyde within the keratin products, but it also varies the treatment.
-If you have sensitive hair or scalp it may cause minor irritation or slight hair loss but I haven’t personally met a person with this problem. It may cause burning or itchiness but usually the stylist will keep tabs with you.

Vlog/Blog Subscribers, friends and collabs

You go on youtube to make video for whatever reason you truly wanted too but after a good number of videos you've hardly been seen. It hurts, it bothers and you try to find out why which is simple: you need to promote yourself. So you go on in search for ways to promote, you talk to people, you ask them to support and a few answer and talk back.

But that can be the problem. Some people will talk back and ask to do collabs with you, which is a great way to promote yourself. You try to communicate with them but suddenly they stop talking to you. Thinking maybe they are busy you wait till they come out with another video, watch it and leave a respectable comment and a question to their disappearance.

They didn't disappear they just don't check those messages and ask you to follow them on another social networking site. So you do! You ask them on there where they can't escape. But now! They have too many collabs to do for a few months and tell you their best advice: Be nice to people and comment.

Don't you hate that? I had that happen to me and I am nice to people, I leave comments and watch videos. Probably nicer than that person. Every comment I receive I either reply or thumbs up them - always - and every message I get I reply. Every request I've gotten, I've done. Ironically, this chick still has more subscribers than me and all I do is promote.

Here is my rant about what happened to me and I hope you enjoy the rant I just wrote weeks after!

Vlog| Fear and Free Makeup

Fear is the number one preventer of people reaching their goals and dreams next to procrastination. It holds us with chains and crumples us to the ground when all we want to do is spread our wings. How can we stop fear when it is near impossible to conquer? We breathe, take a step forward with our eyes straight ahead and remember only what we want our future to hold for us.

Fear took years of my life away and had me struggling between literally life, death, past and future but what I was missing and what my strength should have been if I hadn't ignored it for so long was the fact I hadn't thought of my present. I stopped, I breathed and I took a step forward and thought of today. And so I thought of nothing else: What did I want to do right then and there?

I wanted to start a youtube channel where I can be myself, do the things I love and help people in the process. I did with my first video ever "How to Wash your Makeup Brushes." It has been the best journey of my life. Before I was going no where, felt useless and like nothing was ever going to go anywhere.
I stopped letting fear have me. And you can too.

---

So after beating my fear all I had to do was get what I needed for my channel. Sure I had a few things here and there I could use but I was stumped. So much at once. I wanted more to do more and to get the inspiration my mind craved. What better way to make a beauty channel than makeup but it can get so expensive with just one product.

That's why I looked for the promotions. At every store there are always some kind of promotion, (half off, buy one get one free, etc) but at some there are different kinds of promotion such as: Buy anything from (this brand) for (this much) and you can get two - three items free! Ironically most of the time these are going on at Ulta and Sephora, the bigger brand store where buying just one item would equal the equalivent cost so it shouldn't be too hard. However! You get sample sizes of expensive brands to test, video and submit! There is just two videos alone! A haul and a review.

I've been doing this for a while and am loving it, free samples that last way longer than expected. For example:

I bought a Calvein Klein Concealer for however much and I got a makeup bag and a sample sized Calvein Klein foundation that I had never tried. The bottle was so tiny it barely was the size of my little hands but the foundation lasted for a good four weeks!

Practically free products with just keeping my eyes open! That's just the beginning of pushing your fear to the side!

It all starts with you!
