When I was real young I always wanted to do it but I got scared - that hot flat iron burned and fizzled at me like a monster - and when I got older I feared I'd burn my ears, cheeks and fingers and so I just had a friend do it. Learned it could still burn as well even with another doing it. So one day I stared down my hair straightener and challenged it - I won.
